Law Study – Part 15

2:09 PM in Assignment by Keith

We are going to have a working session tonight so bring your laptops if you have them. I will bring an extra macbook and there is another windows machine available if needed. We are going to look at the OSCN (Oklahoma State Courts Network) and learn how to navigate through it and take advantage of some of its features. I want to look at HB3055 which establishes a new grant and trust and eliminates our water rights. There is a lot of grassroots support to try a referendum process to hold up a bill even after it has been signed by the Governor. Mark Croucher gets the credit for finding this process. It hasn’t been tried since 1972. It must be noticed within 90 days of the close of session, be single issue targeted, and have 50,000 petition signatures. It halts the enacting of the legislation until the referendum is resolved. This is only 1/3 as difficult as Personhood and can be used to educate rural Oklahoma about Agenda 21 and the power of the sheriff to halt federal encroachment.

Rule of Law – Guest Michael Allison of Bridgeport, Illinois, discusses his discovery of a massive car title theft ring implicating public servants of municipalities, sheriffs departments, and the State of Illinois, which led to his being prosecuted, apparently as a retaliatory measure by rogue public servants, for violations of the Illinois “eavesdropping statute” for recording public servants in public. Michael was facing up to 75 years in prison for recording police and other public servants until a county judge threw out the charges against him, ruling that the Illinois law is unconstitutional and that citizens have a right to record public servants. Michael is now pursuing civil cases for violations of his rights.

Law Study – Part 1

3:09 AM in Assignment by yodude

For our first study session, download the following files:

Blacks Law Second Edition Black’s Law is a commonly used legal dictionary. The second edition is no longer under copyright. You will eventually want to get a hard copy legal dictionary.

The_Law The Law is the very best, most concise book on law, government and economics I have seen. You don’t need to read this prior to study group.

For our initial meeting, look up the definitions to the following in the Black’s Law 2nd edition:

jurisdiction

person

stand

understanding

understood

We will compare these to the sixth edition in our first meeting. Please be prepared to discuss potential meeting times. I would also like to explore net meetings or conference calls for in between meetings.
